The Cottage Test is decided on a balance of probabilities: is it more likely that the person would fail the Cottage Test or not?
Step 1) does the person like Charlie?
If the answer is no, there is no need to go on to Step 2 - the person has failed the Cottage Test.
If the answer is yes, or the person hasn't met Charlie, go on to Step 2.
Step 2) does the person pass the Cottage Test?
A non-exhaustive list of characteristics of someone who would fail the Cottage Test:
- they don't read our blog - they don't have a personality - the don't like SET
While these characteristics are not determinative of failing the Cottage Test, on the balance of probabilities they weigh heavily on the "failing" side.
Poor Money........ he always fails the Cottage Test :(
